Performing everything from mechanical and welding repair to massive industrial fabrications and marine conversions, Buck Kreihs Shipyards has been operating for more than 50 years. They are located in New Orleans, Louisiana. While the company would only manufacture ships in the past, today, it also takes care of commercial and industrial buildings. Unfortunately, employees who worked at Buck Kreihs Shipyards between 1920 and 1980 are at risk of coming to struggle with harrowing diseases today, as they were heavily exposed to asbestos on the job. Because asbestos companies strived to hide the dangers of asbestos exposure both from consumers and workers, shipyard employees were not given protective equipment to wear against inhaling and ingesting toxic fibers.
